Adirondack Artists Guild to feature Jeanne Danforth exhibit throughout May

Saranac Lake, NY – The Adirondack Artists Guild has announced that Jeanne Danforth will be the featured artist for the month of May. Danforth said she decided to name this show “Puddles” because it’s spring and the artwork is almost all watercolor paintings. The Puddles exhibit will kick off the 2024 summer season at the gallery, following a busy year and a short break for spring cleanup. Danforth is well known throughout the area for her evocative and luminous paintings of farms, animals, and roadside scenes.

“Season’s greetings! A return to exuberance, little green things, little fly-y things and greedy, damp little animals,” Danforth said. “Welcome come-hither blooms and broody mamas and haunting remembrances written in paint. Watercolors, of course…it’s the wet season, juicy with possibility, sap, and desire. So eat dessert first – little visual desserts!”
