Hadley, NY – All are invited to join for a day of sweet adventure at the 23rd annual Maple in April Festival set for Saturday, April 27. Nestled along Rockwell Street in Hadley, this free, family-friendly extravaganza will take place rain or shine. From sap to syrup, experience live maple demonstrations, savor the taste of everything maple, and don’t miss out on Hadley Business Association’s famous Scholarship French Toast breakfast.

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy the Lil’ Sugar Dust Off car, truck, and tractor show, take horse-drawn wagon rides, hang out with Forest Ranger Hess and Smokey the Bear or hop on board the blue roaming train. Folks can explore farm life, cuddle with family pets, browse through an array of craft and food booths, while kids dive into a world of fun with activities like face painting and bounce houses.
The highlight of the festival includes the Backyard Maple Syrup Makers contest. Those who pride themselves on homemade maple syrup and have less than 150 taps within a 50-mile radius of Hadley, can participate in the contest for a chance to claim bragging rights for the best tasting syrup. The American Legion Maple Pork Dinner scheduled for 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hadley Senior/Community Center will cap off the eventful day.
