Bob Sweet is an experienced outdoorsman and photographer who has lived in the Adirondacks since 1985.
He has paddled the Hudson River from North Creek to the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, and hiked across the northern Serengeti plains. In 2012, he climbed in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas.
Bob retired from New York State in 2010 and now operates SweetShots Photography.
The Adirondack Almanack's contributors include veteran local writers, historians, naturalists, and outdoor enthusiasts from around the Adirondack region. The Almanack is the online news journal of Adirondack Explorer. Both are nonprofits supported by contributors, readers, and advertisers, and devoted to exploring, protecting, and unifying the Adirondack Park.
