Pharaoh Lake Wilderness: A Campfire Between Storms

Campfire between stormsThe sky was full of drama Saturday night. The Pharaoh Lake Wilderness is a good choice for anything from a one night trip to a full week in the woods. Pharaoh Lake itself has several camping spots and lean-to’s. This is looking towards the eastern part of the lake.

Jessica Tabora: Early Spring View From Owl’s Head

Owl's Head

Owl’s Head mountain offers a short hike to very rewarding views of the High Peaks area. The trail is right off 73 near Cascade lakes. The weather has been warm this weekend and a lot of the snow is melting in the area. This is also a great sunrise or sunset hike for the minimal distance to the summit.

View of Gothics from Big Slide

13009654434_77e9462556_o(1)The view of Gothics from Big Slide is one of the best. It was a perfect day and the Great Range was shining with blue skies. My trip to Big Slide was made over the popular route over the Brothers. If you’re looking for great views, you’ll be rewarded with them after a very short distance.
