This summer, every Friday morning at 11 AM throughout the months of July and August, Tupper Arts will be presenting the Little Loggers Kids Show Series—a series of events that includes interactive children’s shows, music, magic, dance and theater. The shows take place at the Tupper Lake Sunset Stage Bandshell on the water, come at no cost, and lunches will be provided immediately after courteous of the Aseel Family Fund.

The Nature Conservancy’s Adirondack Chapter has shared the following activities for joining in the online festivities on this 50th anniversary of Earth Day:
Learn About Nature: some parents are finding it stressful to take on the roles of their teachers while the schools are closed, but the NCAC has created a Nature Lab to help children and parents alike to take part in nature related activities, in turn learning the science behind nature and what we can do to preserve it. Adirondack Carousel (Saranac Lake) — closed until further notice
Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts (Blue Mountain Lake) — online offerings only
Adirondack Experience museum (Blue Mountain Lake) — offering digital programming only for 2020 season
Adirondack History Museum (Elizabethtown) — closed until further notice
The Clinton County Historical Association Museum (Plattsburgh) will remain closed to the public indefinitely. In addition, the opening of the Bluff Point Lighthouse is also on hold.
Enchanted Forest Water Safari (Old Forge) — closed for the 2020 season
Fulton County Historical Society & Museum (Gloversville) — closed for the 2020 season
Island Chapel (Upper Saranac Lake) — closed for 2020
The Sembrich (Bolton Landing) — summer music festival cancelled; museum currently closed

Adirondack Nationals Car Show (Lake George) — Originally set for Sept, canceled for 2020.
Adirondack Balloon Festival (Queensbury) — Canceled in 2020
Adirondack Railroad (Utica to Old Forge) — canceled Polar Express holiday-themed train rides for 2020.
90 Miler Canoe Race, aka the Adirondack Canoe Classic (Old Forge to Saranac Lake) — Canceled in 2020.
Adirondack Folk Music Festival (Schroon Lake) — Canceled, along with summer concert series in Schroon Lake.
The next festival is scheduled for Aug. 15, 2021.
Americade (Lake George) — Annual motorcycle rally slated for Sept 21-25
Depot Theatre (Westport) — 2020 season canceled/postponed until 2021; alternative programming planned.
Clinton County Fair (Morrisonville) — canceled for 2020
Essex County Fair (Westport) — canceled for 2020
First Night Saranac Lake — 2020 event canceled
Franklin County Fair (Malone) – canceled for 2020
Elvis Festival (Lake George) — canceled
Ironman (Lake Placid) — Both the full triathlon and half triathlon canceled for 2020. Next full tri takes place July 25, 2021; half tri canceled for 2021 as well.

Lake George Music Festival (Lake George) — Season postponed to 2021; virtual events planned
Lake George Winter Carnival (Lake George) — canceled for 2021
Lake Placid Sinfonietta (Lake Placid) — Summer season canceled
Lake Placid Horse Shows (Lake Placid) — canceled their events/summer season
Adirondack Theatre Festival (Glens Falls) — Summer program/events canceled
Ausable Two-Fly Challenge (Wilmington) – rescheduled for September 17-19, 2020
Black Fly Challenge (Inlet/Indian Lake) – postponed until June 12, 2021
Northern Challenge Ice Fishing Derby (Tupper Lake) — cancelled for 2021
Santanoni Winter Weekends (Newcomb) — canceled for 2021. Three Winter Weekend events have been held for seven consecutive years at Camp Santanoni in the Adirondacks. This year, organizers determined the indoor spaces used for the events are too small to safely accommodate typical attendance numbers under current health guidelines. DEC and its partners hope to resume these popular winter events in 2022.
Saranac Lake Winter Carnival — 2021 event will likely be fireworks and ice palace only (with no walk throughs of the palace).
Snowtown Film Festival — Virtual event planned for Jan 29-Feb 7
Ticonderoga Triathlon Festival (Ticonderoga) – postponed until June 19, 2021.
Tupper Lake Warrior Run (Tupper Lake) – canceled in 2020
Wilmington Uphill Bike Race (Wilmington) – postponed until 2021
Wilmington-Whiteface 100K (Wilmington) – canceled in 2020, set for June 5, 2021

Whiteface Mountain Ski Area is closed to public access. This blocks public access to Bear Den Mountain Trailhead and Trail.
The shuttle in the town of Keene between the Marcy Field Parking Lot and the Garden Trailhead remains closed.

Akwesasne Mohawk Casino (Hogansburg): Now open
Lake Flower boat launch (Saranac Lake) Reopened after construction. To prevent the community spread of COVID-19, the bathroom is temporarily closed.
Hyde Collection (Glens Falls) — Reopened Aug. 1
Tucker Farm (Gabriels) — Annual corn maze opened Aug 14
Saranac Lake Winter Carnival to go forward with planning 2021 event
Gore Mountain (Northville): Open for disc golf, biking, hiking and gondola rides
Silver Lake Bog Trail (Clinton County) — Reopened
Historic Saranac Lake — Saranac Laboratory Museum open Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
DEC fire towers: open
Otter Creek Horse Trails: Campground reopened (Lewis County)
Ausable Chasm (Port Kent) — While adventurous activities, like tubing and rock climbing, aren’t yet available, the park’s five miles of scenic trails have been opened for hiking and exploring since June 15.
The Almanzo Wilder Homestead in Burke, NY is now open for private tours by appointment Thursday through Monday. The Visitor Center is open to the public.
ORDA-run Olympics properties reopen: A new zipline at the Olympic Jumping Complex opened on July 17. The new gondola at the complex is also now open.
Mountain biking on the cross-country trails of Mt. Van Hoevenberg is now available.
The Veterans Memorial Highway at Whiteface is open.
The Wild Center — Reopened July 15, outdoors only
TAUNY Center and Folk Store (Canton) — Reopened on June 8.
Adirondack Artists Guild (Saranac Lake) — Begins gradual reopening on June 19. For the remainder of June, the Gallery will be open Fridays and Saturdays, from 11 – 3 pm, which could expand in July.
Lake Placid Center for the Arts (Lake Placid) — Reopened arts center and Gallery 46 on Main Street
View Arts Center (Old Forge) has a target reopening to the public on June 29.
Fort Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga) — Opening for the season on June 30
Adirondack Folk School (Lake Luzerne) is open and classes have resumed.
Tupper Arts Center (Tupper Lake) has a target reopening of July 15.
