A Center for Businesses in Transition Update

The North Country Center for Businesses in Transition (CBIT) in Saranac Lake continues to offer targeted programs and resources to transitioning businesses in 2020.

The Center is a collaboration of regional organizations and leaders working to support existing business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in developing successful business transition strategies. In 2019, 88 North Country business owners reached out to CBIT for assistance, tapping into a network of tools, learning opportunities and experience.

Free Fundraising Workshops In Saranac Lake

businessThe Adirondack Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is hosting a series of five free workshops on the topic of fundraising for nonprofit organizations.

“This workshop series is helping to meet a critical community need,” AEDC director Jim Murphy said in an announcement of the workshops sent to the press, “and it is expressly in line with our mission to provide access to capital, training and technical assistance to North Country small businesses.
