Old Forge: Snofest on tap for March 10 & 11

Old Forge, NY – Snofest 2023 will be returning to the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11. The popular event offers visitors the only chance in the North East to see new 2024 snowmobiles and gear featured by Arctic Cat, Polaris, and Ski-Doo. Special deals on sleds and accessories will be available, as well as demo rides sponsored by Arctic Cat (weather and conditions permitting.) The hours of operation for this year’s Snofest are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, when the North Street pavilion will be filled with snowmobiles, sled accessories, vendors, raffles, and food and beverage specials.

2023 Old Forge Winter Carnival set for Feb. 10-12

OLD FORGE, NY –  The Central Adirondack Association is pleased to announce the return of the Old Forge Winter Carnival on February 10-12.  This family-fun weekend event will begin with an ice skating party from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 10 at the Joy Tract Road rink.  Hot cocoa, music, and a roaring bonfire will be provided for your skating pleasure.  Bring your own skates.

Old Forge to kick off snowmobile season with Snodeo on December 9 – 11

 

OLD FORGE, NY – The Central Adirondack Association (CAA) will be kicking off the 2022-23 snowmobile season with the annual Snodeo event at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on the weekend of December 9, 10, and 11. The North Street pavilion in Old Forge will be filled with sleds, gear, and accessories that no snowmobile enthusiast will want to miss. All four major manufacturers (Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski Doo, and Yamaha) will be on hand, plus other vendors including, Hudon’s Sled Salvage & Power Sports, Guaranteed Traction Solution, Northland Trailers, RPM Apparel, Mack Studs, Curve Industries, Patriot Trailers as well as many more new and repeat vendors.

Adirondack Mountain Bike Festival returns to McCauley Mountain, October 1 & 2

OLD FORGE– The annual Adirondack Mountain Bike (MTB) Festival is ready to kick off Saturday and Sunday, October 1-2, 2022 at the McCauley Mountain Ski & Recreation Center in Old Forge. The temperatures are cooling down and the fall colors are heating up in the Central Adirondacks, as hundreds of mountain bike families flood to the festival. The free festival is sponsored by the Central Adirondack Association (CAA), the Adirondack Foothills Trails Alliance (AFTA), and the Town of Webb, and features guided rides, races and fun contests, clinics, bike and equipment vendors, food and refreshments, and live music.
