American, NYC Ballet Dancers Performing at Silver Bay

Silver Bay Association AuditoriumDancers of American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet are set to present an evening of dance on August 15th, 2019 at Silver Bay YMCA Family Conference & Retreat Center, 87 Silver Bay Rd, at Silver Bay on Lake George.

The performance will showcase the talents of soloist Unity Phelan of New York City Ballet and dancers Isabella Boylston, Cory Stearns, Sung Woo Han, Devon Teuscher, and James Whiteside of American Ballet Theatre, who will perform several excerpts from a variety of famous ballets, such as Le Corsaire, Manon, and Swan Lake, as well as new choreography in the world premiere of Le Sablier at the Auditorium on the Silver Bay campus. » Continue Reading.

Adirondack Elements Inspire Rebecca Kelly Ballet

For over 30 years The New York City based Rebecca Kelly Ballet has made the Adirondacks its summer home, blending contemporary and classical dance with social and environmental commentary. In an ongoing series of works inspired by the environment, Rebecca Kelly Ballet is bringing parts of the Adirondack Elemental suite to the Lake Placid Center for the Arts for one show only.

This family-friendly ballet signals the holiday season with its period costumes, magic and adventure and this year there are several opportunities to see “The Nutcracker”  in the Adirondack region.
