Adirondack Safe Rides for New Year’s Eve

There are some amazing alcohol-free events throughout the Adirondacks, such as First Night Saranac Lake and Lake Placid’s Skate into the New Year.

If part of your New Year’s routine includes that champagne toast, please do us all a favor and reserve a place on one of these free New Year’s Eve shuttles. If a designated driver isn’t already part of the schedule, one thing my husband and I stress to our adult children is the need to plan ahead. First Night Celebrations To Ring In The New Year

There are so many different ways to ring in the new year. Each Adirondack town has special celebrations from Lake George cruises to Long Lake’s Little Bus festivities. There are even ski mountain extravaganzas like Oak Mountain’s Torch Light Parade or Titus Mountain’s free 1st Tracks Bash.

My family has always chosen to bring in the new year with a First Night Celebration in Saranac Lake or Saratoga Springs. Both events offer an alcohol-free, family-friendly tradition for welcoming in the new year. » Continue Reading.

First Night Celebrations In Saranac Lake, Saratoga

SONY DSCThere is no right or wrong way to ring in the New Year, unless it involves an altercation with the police. For my family, a  multi-generational event remains the most memorable New Year’s Eve celebration.

According to First Night Saratoga Coordinator Alex Jones this year will be the 20th anniversary for First Night Saratoga.
