A Handmade Instrument Meet and Greet, and Show and Tell has been set for Saturday, April 14th from 11 am to 2 pm at the TAUNY Center in Canton.
Instrument makers are invited to show one or more of their handmade instruments along with materials and related items, and to share their stories and demonstrate aspects of their work.

New York City based duo Robinson & Rohe are set to preform a concert on Sunday, April 8th at 4 pm at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall, 1610 NYS Route 22, near Essex.

Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY) has invited the public to the next First Friday Jam hosted by singer/guitarist Barb Heller, host of NCPR’s String Fever, and fiddler Don Woodcock, a North Country Heritage Award recipient, on Friday, January 5 from 7:15 to 8:45 pm. TAUNY’s traditional music jams are open to people interested in gathering with North Country neighbors to play old time fiddle tunes and songs from American folk traditions.

Remember the good old days when, as it applied to fishing, “drag” was something that you had on your spinning reel? Well, that quaint definition has gone by the boards, now that a fundraiser for a North Country bass tournament will include a drag show to be deliciously known as Camp Fishsticks.
The 1st Presbyterian Church of Saranac Lake will host the 4th Annual Pete Seeger Tribute on May 6th, at 7 pm. The beginning part of the program will focus on children, while the rest of the evening will consist of music and spoken-word performances for all ages.
