Pearsall Foundation Announces Local 40 Grants

Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack FoundationThis year, the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation held their their Annual Meeting and Board Retreat at Silver Bay YMCA on Lake George. While there the trustees met with 19 not-for-profits in the Ticonderoga/Northern Lake George Region, and discussed challenges in their community and how the Pearsall Foundation might help.

Pearsall Foundation Awards 34 Grants

Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack FoundationThe trustees of the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation rotate the site of their Annual Meeting and Board Retreat around the Adirondack Park and this year it was held at Schroon Lake. The trustees met with 17 Schroon Lake area not-for-profits, organized by Roger Friedman, to discuss issues in the community and how the Pearsall Foundation might help.

Pearsall Adirondack Foundation Announces 2017 Grants

tannery pondThe Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation received 61 grant applications for funding this year from area not-for-profits and the foundation funded, all or in part, 36 of them. A complete list of this year’s grant recipients is available on the foundation’s website.

The private foundation was established in 2000 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for year round residents of the Adirondack Park. Foundations Partner to Provide Books to Pre-schoolers

Dolly PartonThe Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation has partnered with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to bring free books monthly to preschoolers throughout the Adirondacks.

The Imagination Library program was established in 1995 in Parton’s hometown in Sevier County, Tennessee as a way to improve preschool literacy. It is now available to all preschool children in the state of Tennessee and is expanding throughout the United States. » Continue Reading.
