Each year, the Kelly Adirondack Center sponsors the work of Summer Research Fellows as they examine diverse topics that make the Adirondacks unique. The students interview experts in their fields, work in the Adirondack Research Library using books and collections to examine the history of the Adirondacks, and conduct field research beside faculty. Gauging the psychological impacts of COVID-19

A professor at SUNY Potsdam is studying the pyschological impacts of social distancing throughout the pandemic.

Dr. Claire J. Starrs, Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at State University of New York – Potsdam is looking for participants to take an online survey.

The survey asks questions regarding work changes and support received, as well as the coping mechanisms and reactions we have used or encountered during the quarantine.

Responses to the survey are anonymous, and you may only answer what you feel comfortable answering. It takes about 30 minutes to complete and includes optional follow up questions. The Adirondack Almanack is a public forum dedicated to promoting and discussing current events, history, arts, nature and outdoor recreation and other topics of interest to the Adirondacks and its communities
