10th Annual Ride for the River to be Held In-Person July 18

Classic road cycling event benefits Ausable River Association  two bikers riding alongside river

The 10th Annual Ride for the River, benefitting the Ausable River Association (AsRA), will be held in-person on Sunday, July 18. Proceeds from this road cycling tour support AsRA’s work to protect the clean waters, healthy streams, biodiverse habitats, and scenic beauty of the Ausable River watershed.

Hosted by Bike Adirondacks (BikeADK), registration includes fully supported cycling routes of 30 and 45 miles, event t-shirt, a post ride BBQ, and live music. In addition to the in-person ride, a virtual ride option is also available allowing cyclists to experience the routes, or create their own ride. The virtual ride is separate from the in-person event day.

Ride for the River self-paced event to take place July 17-26

The Ausable River Association (AsRa) and Bike Adirondacks (BikeADK) will be hosting their ninth annual “Ride for the River” event July 17-26.

This event was created in 2012 by the AsRA to celebrate the river and the resilience of local communities around the river after they were devastated by flooding caused by the tropical storm Irene. All proceeds from the event go to directly supporting the AsRA and their protection of the clean waters, healthy streams and diverse habitats of the Ausable River watershed. The 2020 Ride continues the celebration while raising funds to restore the damaged portions of the river and address the growing concern over road salt, particularly around Mirror Lake in Lake Placid.

7th Annual Ride for the River is this Weekend

ride for the riverThe 7th annual Ride for the River, a family-friendly road cycling tour benefiting the conservation work of the Ausable River Association (AsRA) has been set for July 14-15 in Wilmington.

Ausable River ‘Ride for the River’ Set For July 31st

Ride for the River 1The Ausable River Association and High Peaks Cyclery will be holding the 5th Annual Ride for the River on Sunday, July 31st at the Hungry Trout Resort. Ride for the River celebrates the Ausable River and the communities that call its watershed home. Proceeds from the event support AsRA’s work to protect and restore the clean waters of the Ausable River. The event began in response to the devastating flooding of Tropical Storm Irene to celebrate the resilience of local communities and raise funds to support AsRA’s stream restoration work. » Continue Reading.
