Kay Jones among 4 inducted into USA Bobsled and Skeleton Hall of Fame

Lake Placid, NY – In front of family members and many friends, Lake Placid’s Kay Jones, bobsled photographer from the 1960s into the 1980s, was inducted posthumously Saturday evening, March 23,  into the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Hall of Fame.

Three generations of the Jones family were in attendance celebrating their mother’s and grandmother’s induction. During the ceremony, held in the new Mountain Lodge at Mt. Van Hoevenberg, attendees heard interviews of Jones with ABC Television’s Jim McKay and Curt Gowdy, conducted during the 1980 Winter Olympics. Jones was hired by the Associated Press to photograph the Olympic competitions.
